If you are in the United States on a Dependent Visa, can you get a work permit? Can you work legally in the United States if you are on a Dependent Visa? What are the rights and limitations for individuals holding dependent visas in terms of working in the United States? Can dependents of temporary visa holders, such as H-1B or F-1 visa holders, apply for work permits while in the United States? What about studying, can someone holding a dependent Visa join colleges and universities and pursue education? What is the process involved?

Yes, it is possible for someone on a dependent visa to apply for a work permit, but the rules and regulations differ by country or region. Often, the dependent would need to obtain a separate work permit or visa to work legally. It's important to check the immigration laws of the specific country or region to understand the requirements and eligibility criteria for obtaining a work permit while on a dependent visa.

So, it is possible for someone on dependent visa to get a work permit. But what about the requirements or conditions. Do you need to be in the US for certain duration before you can apply for work permit, are work permits restricted on certain kind of dependent visas? I mean are there any exclusion on work permit? I hear that dependent visas are often tied to the primary visa holder's status, and if the primary visa holder does not have work authorization, their dependents also will not get work permit. is this true?
