Sno-Park permits are now available to purchase in Washington which signals the start of the winter season's recreational activities. The permits are managed by the State Park Winter Recreation Program and they are essential for using the parking at over 130 designated Sno-Parks.

If you are a user you can obtain either a daily or seasonal permit either through licences vendors or online. Those who are snowmobilers must register their vehicles first with the Washington Department of Licensing, this will allow you to receive a free parking permit. Additionally, a Special Groomed sticker is required if you wish to park at certain high-use Sno-Parks, this although is not needed with a daily permit.

Enhanced services like sanitation and frequent tail grooming are funded by the Special Groomed sticker. It is important to know that the Sno-Park permit is mandatory throughout the season, from December 1 to April 30, even if there are days when the Discover Pass is waivered but a Discover Pass is not required at Sno-Parks.

These permits make it possible to offer a range of activities for the winter, from snowmobiling to skiing.
