The Biden administration has rolled out a program to fast-track legal work authorization for migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. This program, which is available only to those who cross boarder legally, aims to address challenges faced by cities dealing with migrant influx. In cities like Brownsville, Texas, and El Paso, California, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has introduced a pre-registration program that expedites work permit processing. After implementation of this new strategies, the processing time for work permits has significantly dropped to around 30 days. Previously, it was more than 4 months.

This is how it should work. You come in legally and our government will help you find work you can qualify for. I think this could be a good step in insuring that people come here legally for work. It would also make it better for someone to come here legally.

Getting as many people registered to work is ideal, especially since we have migrants coming in so often. We really need to enact a better system where migrants can come over and easily sign up to work. Of course they should follow the same rules and standards Americans follow, but it's a start.

This is a good step in ensuring people who are legally entering the country are able to find work in due time.

When you see these type of things, it's because elections are around the corner. Why couldn't they do that sooner?
