Inspections

Whether they be mortgage or insurance, home inspections are needed from time to time. How do you think this ties into the permitting process? Like, do some municipalities require an inspection before issuing a building/addition permit?

Not unless you want to call a plan review an inspection. During construction, sure. But before construction, what are they going to inspect? The land? Although, I wouldn't put it past some cities to start doing that just to drum up more money.
