The new Trump administration has issued a federal government hiring freeze, leaving countless positions unfilled. The decision is sure to create a backlog in immigration work permits, reentry permits, and much more. How do you see this playing out long-term? Which types of permits do you believe will be the most affected?

I believe that permits are being delayed for many reasons, and not all the blame should fall on Trump. For example, I live in a rural area. I've read in the paper that we're facing staffing shortages, which have led to delays, but I believe that's because few people want to settle here. There's more money to be made in the bigger cities. As far as I know, the city is still looking for a city manager. Maybe accepting applications from immigrants could get the role filled. I'm not sure.
