I'm a volunteer with Samaritan's Purse and I found the staff at Cape Coral Permitting Services Division to be helpful, informative, and friendly. We needed several building permits to assist with some restoration projects after Hurricane Ian. I can't help but wonder if some of the low reviews stemmed from the hurricane. It was a catastrophic weather event that easily overwhelmed most services. There were delays with obtaining the permits, but that's understandable. Unfortunately, not only was there an influx of requests, but the office was also fielding out unlicensed workers who were there to prey upon the devastated citizens. I believe the staff did the best they could. It took longer than usual to receive approval, but we got there in the end.
