Interesting how forthcoming changes in the building code prompted prospective permittees to get their applications submitted to Pikes Peak Regional Building Department (PPRBD). It's not clear from the article exactly what the incentive is for the rush of submittals. Is the current code less stringent/costly in some way? The article also mentions how the PPRBD is going to start charging a fee every time plans are submitted after the second review (“[One] and done, that’s the goal"). I think it's great putting in place efficiency measures like this that incentivize applicants to get agencies the right information to begin with, and waste less of everyone's time.
