Santa Clara's New Fast-Track Permits For Residential Projects

The City of Santa Clara has introduced a fast-track permitting solution called Simple Permits, which aims to offer quick permits for things like water heater and HVAC replacements, re-roofing projects, and small sewer or water scopes of work. The authorities aim to include more projects in the future. The Simple Permits will streamline the permitting process and get approval within 1-2 business days. These rules are for a single-family homeowner, a licensed contractor, as well as a multi-family building with up to four units.
