Career Growth in Community Development

I am currently a planning and building permit technician for my city. I am about to finish up my bachelor's degree in environmental sciences and sustainability. What are some ways I can grow in my career with this experience? I have enjoyed my job here at the city, but want to find ways to expand on this experience with my new degree.

For a career path in Planning you could take the following path: Planning Tech>Assistant Planner>Associate Planner>Senior Planner>Principal Planner> Planning Director. You could also pursue a career in Building & Safety or even Environmental Departments. It all depends on what direction you want to go and what your passion is.
