New Rules Create Big Challenges for Clark County Street Vendors

How does a municipality say "I don't like street vendors" without saying "I don't like street vendors". At the very least, put the vendors on a payment plan they can afford.

Permit Purgatory: Street Food Vendors Stuck in Legal Limbo

So the state made a code with no local guidance's set up on how to meet the code? Am I reading that right? If there is no way to abide by the "law", it's now a law yet. It's a law in name only when you can contest the fine in court and win.

    Which Comes First?

What are your thoughts on builders creating new subdivisions and the improvements of the adjoining roads? Do you think the upgrades to to the infrastructure should be done first on par with the number of projected residents/vehicles? Or should we stick to the time tested mistake of building the...

    Inspections

Not unless you want to call a plan review an inspection. During construction, sure. But before construction, what are they going to inspect? The land? Although, I wouldn't put it past some cities to start doing that just to drum up more money.

    Sign Size

We have a commercial building that we are renovating and are nearing the time when the sign has to go up. Do you think I'd be able to ask for deviation from the size to accommodate something larger than the 16sq cutoff? My storefront is rather large and I'd rather not illuminate the sign.
