Don't judge me, but I'm a fan of reality television. I especially like TLC's Sister Wives. So, I've been closely following Maddie's blog about Taeda Farms, which she's opening with her mother, Janelle. It's been interesting to see them grapple with permitting issues. I'm sure many of us relate with their frustration over the process. If you're interested, you can check it out here.

You know, I guess it's kind of nice to see that they aren't getting special treatment. They're operating in a fairly small town, so I'm surprised that the officials aren't acting star struck. It's empowering to see permitting laws being applied equally.

By the time they deal with zoning and planning, file for their business licenses, file their taxation documents, deal with inspections, and obtain all the proper permits, I bet they'll be at least another year out. It's a very slow process to get a business of that magnitude off the ground.

I'm surprised the town doesn't ask for a permit to allow the process to be televised. lol

Or do they?

I don't do reality TV, but it sounds like a very informative show.
