As expected, the House passed the SPEED Act to accelerate environmental reviews and permits dealing with energy infrastructures. As you can imagine, those who favor deregulation are touting this as a big win for our nation's stability and independence; while those opposed claim it will likely result in greater harm to the waterways that our nation depends on and to the environment overall. If the Senate approves the bill, it'll be the biggest change to the NEPA that I've ever seen.
