Any ICC Certified Code Specialists here?

I'm studying for the ICC Certification for Code Specialist so I can get combination designation.
Does anyone have tips for success for the exam?
Later this summer I also intend to take the residential building inspector test before I start the WABO plans examiner courses.

Hey Emily - I'm really impressed by your dedication to obtaining all those ICC certifications. The only member I know of who requested a Code Specialist badge is @Jeff. Jeff has five certifications apparently, which would definitely qualify as a "combination designation" I'd say. There's so many of those ICC certifications. Does having 5 certifications, compared to 1 or 2, really boost one's resume? I'd imagine there's a core 1-2 certifications that are most relevant to a given building department position, and the rest is just gravy, wouldn't you say?

Jeff, any advice you can provide regarding the Code Specialist exam?

I have attached the Code Specialist form which breaks down the areas to study by percentage. I did not take the Code Specialist test but was given the Building Code Specialist cert due to other certifications I have. Which area are you working towards specializing in? The specialist designation can be achieved in building, electrical, plumbing... etc.
