    Streamlining permit for desalination plants

I do think solar or wind energy is one of the key aspects of a sustainable system. We may need to build more offshore plants to further minimize the environmental impact. I'm sure we will be able to find the balance. The prices may be justifiable as long as our money is used properly.

Getting a permit for recreational target shooting

Thank you for all your replies! I tried to look up information online and now I'm confused about the Firearms Safety Certificate, gun license, and gun safety license. I'll check the closest park and ask the rangers there!

Getting a permit for recreational target shooting

Has anyone ever tried target shooting? I'm not into hunting deer like my relatives, so I was thinking about what else I could do at the national parks when I found the target shooting. Is it difficult to obtain a permit?

What is your building permit turn-around time?

That's great! Maybe add some extra info about the next steps so they understand why their submission takes time to approve. If the office has a website, what do you think about displaying the number of processed requests? I'm not sure if sharing that information is against the codes, but it may...

Helping a friend with his visa application

A quick trip to Canada should be okay; we went there with my relative from Germany a few years ago. You should be safe if you don't do something a tourist won't do. The other downside I remember is the fixed length, so your friend must return before their ESTA expires.

Food truck permit for an event

Thanks for the pointers! We will start by submitting our documents to the organizers and see if we need to report further. I think the organizers will contact the police and fire departments. I hope this goes well!

Open applications for cannabis retail permits in Santee City

I recently read about Delaware announcing applicants selected for official licensing. The lottery was the right choice to keep the selection fair and transparent. As we gain experience from currently selected groups to improve the system, I'm sure Santee City will approve more applicants like...

Food truck permit for an event

Hello, has anyone here ever applied for a food truck permit? Our local community is hosting a small event for the elderly, and my family wants to participate by cooking for them. We have never run restaurants or any food-related business. Any tips would be appreciated!

    Permitting Apps

Has anyone used MGO Connect? I don't think all states and jurisdictions are included in this app, so the types of permits it covers vary. I agree with KayWard that it would be great if PermitFlow and Cloudpermit developed their own apps as their services seem more mature.

Helping a friend with his visa application

Your friend can apply for a traditional visa, but it's easier to apply for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) if their home country is included in the Visa Waiver Program. There is no need to be tested or provide vaccination proof for COVID as well.

    Permit system to stop over-tourism

Silly rules, children and elderly will never travel alone anyway. If I really wanted to go to Europe, I would include the extra fees in my budget calculation and compensate in other aspects. That's not going to stop many people. If there are way too many tourists, then the number should be limited.

Encouraging contractor engagement for portal improvements

Did you get feedback from the previous meeting that might explain the lack of engagement? For example, if they couldn't attend the meeting in person, would they be able to join an online session?

    Hello from Delaware! :)

Hello from another newcomer. Nice to meet you, Nicole! One of my relatives is a home inspector. He had to work in difficult spaces and weather while keeping his head cool and objective. It doesn't sound easy at all, so hats off to you. Good luck with your studies!

    Montana Faces Pond Permitting Challenges

I think people won't complain if the offices raise the fees for administrative purposes as long as the numbers make sense. Maybe the extra money can be used for regular inspections to check for invasive species if that's what they are worried about. At least the fish ponds are environmentally...
